Thank you

Thank you for your wonderful and encouraging comments to my colleagues at the Department of Public Works. I noticed in the article that the word “struggle” was mentioned five times, and I don’t recall mentioning that DPW was struggling. It sounded unappreciative of our own people who are hard at work restoring our islands to its beauty and cleanliness. I was asked as to what is the timeline for completing the typhoon debris cleanup, and I said I’m not sure at this time, and then I went on to say that the mayor and DPW (crew) are working hard to clean up the typhoon debris along roadways, and you’re absolutely right, they all deserve our deepest appreciation and gratitude, and our dangkulu na si’ yu’us ma’ase goes to the mayor of Saipan, the secretary of the Department of Public Works, and the hard-working men and women from these agencies.

Thank you and happy new year!
