Over 200 meals were distributed at the Office on Aging Center yesterday morning as part of the annual Rotary Club of Saipan’s Thanksgiving meal distributions.

Rotary Club president Greg Borja noted that 224 meals were given away. “This is an annual
tradition of the Rotary Club of providing Thanksgiving lunch to the man’amko,” Borja said.
The club gave meals to Aging Center regulars and to some of the man’amko who are homebound.
Regulars who were at other shelters such as the Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School or the Tanapag Middle School had their meals delivered to them .

“…Regular shelter folk are already provided meals, so we did not want to duplicate the effort,” he added.

Because of Super Typhoon Yutu, Rotary youth members were not involved this year.

“…We were not able to do it this year because the Saipan Aging Center is being used as a shelter,” he said.
