Church donates $10,000 to Red Cross

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has donated $10,000 to support the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter’s Super Typhoon Yutu relief efforts.

The $10,000 gift will be used to support families impacted by the catastrophic damage caused by Yutu.

The Red Cross is distributing emergency supplies such as water, tarp, coils, cleanup kits, mosquito coils and insect repellant, coolers, totes, buckets, blankets, hygiene supplies, cleaning kits, camp stoves, solar lanterns, coloring books for kids and many other important items.

Additionally, the Red Cross is providing financial assistance to those with major damage to their homes at various service centers. Check the Red Cross FB page for specific details.

Individuals interested in volunteering or making a donation to the Red Cross should stop by the office on Airport Road. (PR)
