GOP may sweep Tinian

The NMI Republican Party bets on Tinian could possibly sweep all major elective posts, with two incumbents retaining their senatorial posts.

 

Unofficial poll results show Sen. Francisco Q. Cruz leading the pack with 634 votes and Jude U. Hofschneider coming in second with 569.

 

Independent bets Juanita Mendiola and former Commonwealth Utilities Corp. board member Eric San Nicolas had 250 and 197 each.

 

Rep. Edwin Aldan (R-Tinian) is looking to be the new mayor as he leads independent candidate Henry San Nicolas, 522-329.

 

Antonio Borja of the GOP is up by more than 100 votes with 488 against independent candidate Frederick Dela Cruz’s 347 for the Tinian House of Representatives’ seat.
