DFS, which operates the T Galleria in Garapan, has made a $60,000 donation to support the Super Typhoon Yutu relief efforts of the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter.

The $60,000 gift—$50,000 for Saipan, $10,000 for Tinian—will be used to support families impacted by the catastrophic damage caused by Yutu.

The Red Cross will be providing emergency supplies such as water, mosquito nets, coils and repellant, coolers, totes, buckets, blankets, hygiene supplies, cleaning kits, camp stoves, solar lanterns, coloring books for kids and many other important items.

In addition, the Red Cross in the coming days will be providing financial assistance to those with major damage to their homes.

“DFS is always there for the Red Cross, whether for our annual fundraising activities or during community-wide disasters like Typhoon Yutu,” said Larry Lee, vice chair of the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter.

Individuals interested in volunteering or making a donation to the Red Cross should stop by the Red Cross office on Airport Road. (PR)
