CUC water is non-potable

Share

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. is providing emergency service by opening up water filling stations for the public to retrieve water for the next few days as Saipan continues to recover from Super Typhoon Yutu.

Water is metered and each vehicle will be allowed to receive up to 50 gallons of water due to the limited water supply that CUC currently has available in its tanks.

Water is non-potable and should be mainly used for non-consumption use. Residents are advised to boil and/or treat the water with chlorine by adding 16 drops (1/8 teaspoon) of liquid chlorine “bleach” per gallon of water. (CUC)
