TanHoldings pounds Mobil to remain unbeaten

TanHoldings demolished Mobil/COAG, 115-70, in the third game in the 2018 JP World Corp. Customer Appreciation Basketball League last Sunday at the Gillette Multipurpose Gymnasium.
The easy victory was the third in as many games for TanHoldings, giving the team the solo lead in Pool A, while Mobil is winless after two matches.
TanHoldings scored 30-plus points in each of the first two quarters en route to the 45-point winning margin.
As expected, scoring machine Lerio Pagarao anchored TanHoldings’ offense. He sizzled for 20 points just in the first period alone to lift his team to a 31-23 advantage. Pagarao made baskets in streaks and nearly matched the production of the entire Mobil crew.
Pagarao slowed down a bit in the second period, recording only 9 points, but his teammates joined TanHoldings’ show of offensive firepower for another 30-plus point output. TanHoldings had 36 markers in the second frame—its biggest in a single quarter—to pad its lead to 26 at the break, 67-41.
Despite the wide margin, TanHoldings was still on business in the third canto, adding 25 more points, while Mobil folded up completely after registering only 5 markers. Mobil was held to two field goals in the third period of John Naog’s triple and Edwin Torres’ floater. Krisgel Arreza outgunned the entire Mobil team with his four baskets and 8 points, as TanHoldings had the game in the bag right at the end of the third frame, 92-46.
With the win secured, TanHoldings let its guard down in the fourth canto, allowing Mobil to pick up garbage points.
Pagarao paced TanHoldings with his 47 markers—his best at this early part of the season—while Arreza and Fradel Sedillo chipped in 14 each. Torres led Mobil with his 17 markers.
