RGA chair endorses Torres’ re-election

Gov. Ralph DLG Torres’ campaign for governor has been endorsed by Republican Governors Association chair Bill Haslam, who is also governor of Tennessee.

“Since taking office, Gov. Ralph Torres has been a strong leader for workforce development, expanded opportunity, and government reform in the Northern Mariana Islands,” said Haslam. “In his second term, [Torres] will continue his work to spur job growth, better wages, and improved education for the people of the Commonwealth. I am proud to support Gov. Ralph Torres to keep leading the Northern Mariana Islands forward.”

In his response, Torres said: “I am honored receive the support of RGA Chairman Governor Bill Haslam, a committed conservative leader and a proven leader. …I am proud of the work my administration has done to improve life for all the people of the Northern Mariana Islands and I look forward to continuing our work in a second term as governor.” (PR)
