An adult male was found dead by the beach located near the 13 Fishermen Monument on Beach Road early yesterday morning.

Early yesterday morning, traffic was observed on Beach Road while numerous police cars closed off the 13 Fishermen Monument area as they responded to a report of a dead body found by the beach shore.

According to Department of Public Safety Commissioner Robert Guerrero, a body of an adult male was indeed found at the scene and transported to the Commonwealth Health Center.

Guerrero did not disclose much information because he said that the case is still undergoing further investigation.

Guerrero did disclose that the death seemed to be of natural causes.

According to a credible source from the CHC, a body was transported to the CHC early yesterday morning.

Guerrero said that there was no autopsy done to the body to determine the cause of death and one cannot be made until DPS can file a report on the incident.

As of 5:30pm yesterday, the department did not have an official written report about the incident.

Guerrero said that further information would follow once DPS officers who responded to the scene produce an official report of the incident.

The Saipan Tribune also reached out to the Department of Fire and Emergency Management Services. They said that they would provide additional information once a report is filed by those who responded to the scene.
