Kensington Hotel Saipan and Pacific Islands Club Saipan donated on Tuesday $10,000 to Lady Diann Torres Foundation to help Rota recover from the damage wrought by Typhoon Mangkhut.
In the presentation of donation checks, management of E-Land Group Saipan expresses their empathy to Rota community.
“We all went through Typhoon Soudelor in 2015 and well aware how frustrating it can be. Supporting each other is a must when there is unexpected hardship like this,” said Matthew Park, president of E-Land Group Saipan. “We are deeply grateful to Lady Diann Torres Foundation for the opportunity to be a part of good cause. As a member of the CNMI community, we thank the foundation for all their efforts to expedite Rota rebuilding.”
Gloria Cavanagh, the general manager of PIC Saipan, said: “It is a relief that Rota is recovering back on its track, thanks to all of Mariana’s caring help. We are happy to step up for our sister island and hope our donation would be useful for our brothers and sisters of Rota.”
According to first lady Diann Torres, the contribution of E-Land Group will be distributed in the form of gift certificates of hardware store, as construction supplies are the priority items the typhoon-hit island is seeking.
E-Land Group, the parent company of Kensington, Pacific Islands Club Saipan, and Coral Ocean Golf Resort, has always sought a way to give back to the community since they started business on Saipan. (PR)
