Zoning sets 8th public outreach
The Zoning Office will be conducting its 8th annual public outreach and education awareness meetings at several locations around the island with community members, businesses, developers, property-owners, or any interested members of the public, with the first meeting held last Sept. 18 at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center. The next meeting will be on Sept. 20, 2018, at the Dandan Middle School cafeteria, starting at 5:30pm. The next is on Sept. 25, 2018, at the GTC Elementary School cafeteria in San Roque, starting at 5:30pm. The last is on Sept. 27, 2018, at the Kagman High School cafeteria in Kagman, starting at 5:30pm.
These meetings serve to disseminate information to the public about proposed amendments to the Saipan Zoning Law of 2013 and the official Zoning maps, as well as to engage them in discussions to assist the Zoning board’s next update of the island’s zoning law.
This will be followed by further announcement on upcoming schedules within targeted villages. The Zoning board and Office encourages the public to join the meetings to learn more about the law.
For more information, call the Zoning Office at 234-9661 or visit the office located on the second floor of the Joeten Dandan commercial building in Dandan. (PR)
