Triple J donates $30K worth of tax credits
Triple J Enterprises recently contributed educational tax credits to 15 eligible institutions on island. Among the beneficiaries were the Northern Marianas Technical Institute, the Northern Mariana Islands Humanities Council, and Mt. Carmel School.
To ensure that Triple J meets this commitment, asked all ETC recipients were asked this year to answer a short questionnaire describing how their institution used Triple J’s contributions in the past.
“Their responses helped us make the decisions for this year’s allocations and we will continue to do so moving forward,” said Tracy Guerrero, Triple J Saipan Inc. controller.
“We encourage all eligible organizations to continue to submit their requests for support as we are always looking for new ways to touch the lives of those in need,” she added.
For over three decades and hand in hand with its business expansion, Triple J Enterprises has helped improve the quality of lives of those in need and build better communities through its philanthropic contributions and personal involvement in nonprofit causes and to individuals.
NMTIchief executive officer, Agnes McPhetres, said: “On behalf of the NMTI board and our entire NMTI family, I extend my sincere appreciation and gratitude to Triple J Enterprises for its generosity and continuous support of our programs. This great partnership demonstrates the important symbiotic relationship between NMTI, the training institute, and Triple J Enterprises, the employer. It’s contributions as such that help support our goal of educating our community members in the present to sustain our future.”
Polly DLG Masga, board chair of the NMI Humanities Council, had similar sentiments: “We are sincerely thankful for the donation made by Triple J Saipan. The donation helps contribute to our ongoing efforts to produce and fund programs for the council. Triple J’s generosity makes a positive impact to the success of reaching our goals.”
Galvin Deleon Guerrero, MCS president, said the ETC contribution is “a tremendous help to our school and fund two important resources: workbooks for our elementary students and scholarships/financial aid for roughly a fifth of our student body. We truly appreciate the support.” (PR)
