Students who participated in MathCourt partook in preparations that included after-school practice on Mondays and Wednesdays as well as an hourly practice on Saturday, which ran from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Teachers and volunteers took time from their schedules and were devoted to ensuring that these students were fully prepared for the competitions. The coaches were: Aida Gagaring, Irish Ann San Nicolas, Changwhan Jang, Victoria Nishida, Sancho Escober, Marilyn Mendoza, Maria Mettao and Jesse Kilili Sablan. During practices, the coaches also provided snacks for the students.

The MathCourt participants and advisors were met with great support from the administrative office. Principal Jonas Barcinas, VP Epi Cabrera, VP Jocelyn Manibusan, VP Lynn Mendiola, and Admin Officer Ruby Hocog provided the students with the aid to allow our students to truly shine in these competitions by approving Saturday practices, supplying the students with transportation to the venues, and contributing to the purchase of T-shirts for regional qualifiers.

In the meantime, Hopwood Junior High School also made huge leaps in Math Olympiads. A total of 36 students from both grade levels have been competing in five tests for this academic school year. This is a national competition with questions that are coming from the U.S. mainland.

The 36 students are Daniel Montano, Sophia Lee, Jeremiah Fernandez, John Robert Tam,, Amelito Dalusong Jr., Limbert Guiao, Anna Kang, Cathrine Roque, Melvin Hermoso, Ayeon Lee, John Michael Costales, Joanna Yutuc, Christian Batallones, Steven Liang, Charisse Ramos, Jacob Teregeyo, Bernadette Javier, Mark Villanueva, Kathleen Lacanilao, Karen Xu, Ma.
