Koblerville Elementary School is closed after reaching maximum capacity for shelterees, while the Tanapag Middle School and Marianas High School are also nearing maximum capacity, according to the CNMI Emergency Operations Center State Warning Point.

The remaining shelters for Saipan: the Saipan Aging Center, the Dandan Middle School, and the Kagman High School remain open to shelterees as Typhoon Mangkhut nears the CNMI.

Tinian’s Tinian Elementary School, along with Rota’s Rota Aging Center and Dr. Rita H. Inos Jr/Sr High School remains available for shelterees.

The agency further announced that due to limited resources, only routes of direct home-to-shelter transport will be accommodated.

“Routes outside of home-to-shelter transport will not be accommodated,” it announced.

For those in need of transportation to any of the shelters, contact the CNMI State Warning Point at 237-8000.
