7 Guam Guard airmen are deployed

Seven airmen, from the Guam Air National Guard’s 254th Security Forces Squadron, departed over the weekend en route to training at Fort Bliss, Texas, and a deployment in support of Operation Freedom Sentinel in Southwest Asia.
After completion of the required training, the airmen will meet the remaining members and proceed to the deployed location.
They are tasked with the protection of federal property from hazards such as sabotage, espionage, trespass, theft, fire, and accident or willful damage and destruction and to maintain law and order, preserve the peace, and protect life and civil rights within the U.S. Central Command theater of operations in order to engineer combat power and establish and sustain combat platforms.
These members will join other airmen from the 254th Red Horse Squadron who are currently deployed or supporting missions around the world.
The Guam Air National Guard asks the public for their continued support as this deployment will have a significant impact on Guam’s Air Guard component. (PR)
