The Philippine Consulate General in Guam processed over 390 passports during a three-day consular outreach at the Mt. Carmel Cathedral’s Daidai Social Hall.
A representative of the office of Honorary Consul Glicerio Arago noted that the consular outreach from Aug. 21 through Aug. 23 processed 394 of the expected 420 passports—most of them renewals of expiring or expired passports.
Four lost passport renewals were processed while six passport extensions were granted. A passport extension is used for those wishing to travel with their passports under the required six-month validity limit.
A total of six reports of birth and two reports of marriage were noted, while there were no reports of death. Four dual citizen applications were processed while there were 220 instances of overseas voting registrations processed. These instances include renewals, registration, taking of photos, etc.
Affidavits requested amounted to 12 over the three-day period.
There were 44 scheduled appointments that did not show up, while they also serviced a total of 22 walk-ins.
Vice consul Alex Vallespin from Guam oversaw the outreach.
The next consular outreach date was not specified.
