Joeten-Kiyu Public Library golf tourney set for Oct. 27
Joeten-Kiyu Public Library will be holding its fourth annual golf fundraiser tournament on Oct. 27 on the west course of the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
Registration fee is only $100 and tournament format will be double peoria. Entry forms and tickets are available at Joeten-Kiyu Public Library and Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the Top 5 finishers of the competition. The champion will earn $400; $350 goes to the runner-up; $300 to the third placer; $250 to the fourth; and $200 to the fifth finisher. Side raffle prizes are also at stake in the golf tournament with players having a chance to win hole-in-one prizes. For the closest to the pin contest on hole Nos. 3, 13, 7, and 17, most accurate drive on No. 9, and longest drive on No. 10, each winner will bring home $150. However, an additional $20 must be paid to join these side events.
Proceeds from the tournament will be used to fund Joeten-Kiyu’s Public Library Resource and Collection Development, circulation materials, and other library programs.
Last year, the competition was able to raise more than $10,000 to subsidize Joeten-Kiyu’s Public Library programs.
