The 2018 NMIFA Youth Fall League will kick off on Sept. 8 and Northern Mariana Islands Football Association is requesting various clubs to confirm their participation in the different divisions.

The non-competitive division will have the U6, U9, U11, and U13B co-ed age groups, while teams in the co-ed U13A, boys U15, girls U16, and boys U18 will play in a competitive format.

NMIFA needs to determine the numbers of squads that will play this season to work on the schedule of games at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville. The association also reminded interested teams that this season’s boys U15 division will implement the 11 versus 11 format.

This is the second straight season that NMIFA switched to the U13 (from U12 in 2017), boys U15 (U14), girls U16 (U15), and boys U18 (U17) age group format. In the spring season, Kanoa Football Club won the girls U16 championship after pulling off a 2-1 win over Shirley’s FC, while Kanoa also earned the boys U15 crown after completing the double-round robin competition with a 8-2-0 win-draw-loss record.

MP United took the boys U18 title, as it was also unbeaten in the spring season after posting a 7-1-0 mark, while TanHoldings FC-1 bagged the U13 championship after prevailing in a playoff game against MP United, 3-1.
