Gov. Ralph DLG Torres wishes that all of his fellow GOP candidates will win this November.
Torres, who is vying for the gubernatorial position for this election, said during yesterday’s GOP rally party in Susupe that he believes he is blessed to be a member of the GOP.
“I am very blessed to be part of such a good family, good friends, and good constituents,” said Torres in a brief interview yesterday.
“I am very blessed with everything,” he said, adding his expression of gratitude to the organizers of yesterday’s party, who reportedly finished preparations early morning yesterday at 2am just to wake up again at 5am for last-minute preparations.
“…That’s real action and real progress. We move forward, and I ask everyone to give their support,” he added.
Torres’ running mate for lieutenant governor, Senate President Arnold I. Palacios (R-Saipan), said yesterday was a “nice day to have a rally.”
“We are very overwhelmed and humbled by all the people that…put their Sundays away and came out and [supported us],” he said.
Rep. Angel A. Demapan (R-Saipan), who is running for the delegate position, said the support of the people yesterday was a “celebration of progress.”
“The people are turning out because the people recognize the progress. This is the work that we undertook in the previous election, and today is the celebration of the results that we have delivered and the commitment of our party to continue delivering for the people,” he said, before going back to the roadside waving.
Yesterday’s rally started with an 8:30am motorcade going to Susupe Beach Park, across Marianas High School. At 9am, a roadside waving was held before starting the GOP party rally at around 11am at the Minatchom Atdao Pavilion area.
