CHCC to welcome visiting doctors
The Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. is excited to announce the arrival of new doctors at the hospital.
The emergency room is provisionally staffed with two new doctors, Dr. Carlo Canepa and Dr. Scott Rineer, both Emergency Medicine doctors. Canepa attended Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University and completed his residency at New York University (NYU) School of Medicine. Rineer is a veteran and received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences and his Masters in Public Health form the University of South Florida.
CHCC also welcomes Dr. Ali Ghellai, a 30-year general surgeon from Strong Memorial Hospital of the University of Rochester.
Additionally, CHCC would like to welcome the following specialists:
Dr. Dorothy Chyung, a practicing Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Chyung graduated from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed her residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She also served as a Mental Health Fellow at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Jerry Gurkoff, a practicing Orthopedic Surgeon for over forty years. Gurkoff graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. William Moss, a Otolaryngologist or “ENT” Specialist. Moss graduated from the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry and completed his residency at the University of South Florida Medical Center.
Specialists may provide only limited services. A referral by your primary care provider must be made to see a specialist and specialist may provide only limited services while on island. (PR)
