UOG CEDDERS program awarded $2.735M federal frant
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded the University of Guam Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research & Service $2,735,000 in federal grant assistance to address the needs of Guam’s individuals with developmental disabilities. The award is for a five-year period, providing UOG CEDDERS with $547,000 annually.
The UOG CEDDERS program has been recognized as a Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities for 25 years. UOG CEDDERS is focused on building pathways for individuals with disabilities and their families by providing training, services, support, and research to our island community.
The five-year grant will allow UOG CEDDERS to address quality assurance, assistive technology, and early intervention and education for the developmental disability community on Guam, with emphasis on the culturally and linguistically diverse background of our people.
