The DPA Car Mart recognized the efforts of community volunteer who has given his life to maintaining Saipan’s outstanding beauty by donating a pickup truck to aid in his mission.
Max Aguon, a Saipan resident who has taken it upon himself to maintain the cleanliness of popular tourist spots in the CNMI, approached the Saipan Tribune about an amazing donation he received from the DPA Car Mart last week.
According to letters obtained from Aguon, DPA awarded him a 2005 Tacoma Access Cab pickup truck as a kind contribution and as a means to continue his efforts in keeping the CNMI beautiful.
“This pickup will be used continually for the yearly maintenance of the Sugar Dock Beach area and also for the annual celebration of the Lady of Santa Maria Immaculada, “ Aguon stated in his letter.
Aguon wrote that the truck will provide a more reliable service for the continuation in keeping the entire Sugar Dock Beach cleaned and maintained throughout the year.
DPA Car Mart general manager Peng Cheng wrote that after so many visits to the Sugar Dock Beach area over the years, DPA has observed the hard work and volunteer services put in by Aguon.
“I have witnessed your regular volunteer work in keeping this beach area clean specially on the weekends. We sincerely appreciate your hard work and effort…we hope that you [Aguon] will continue to use this pickup truck in keeping our Sugar Dock clean and maintained throughout the years to come. This is also our way of giving back to our community, “ he wrote.
Aguon said that he is extremely grateful for the recognition bestowed upon him by DPA Car Mart because after all the years that he has continuously helped the CNMI, this was the first company that decided to help him.
Aguon said through a phone interview that the donation has motivated him to strive harder in his efforts to beautify the CNMI and to put DPA Car Mart’s donation to good use.
