Tropical Depression 10W to intensify and become tropical storm

Tropical Depression 10W was slowly consolidating southeast of the Marianas as of late yesterday afternoon and is forecast to gradually intensify and become a tropical storm today, Wednesday.
As of 5pm yesterday, a tropical storm watch remains in effect for Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.
It means that tropical storm conditions, including damaging winds of 39 miles per hour or more, are possible within 24 to 36 hours, according to the U.S. National Weather Service Guam.
A tropical storm warning was also in effect for Guam.
NMS said tropical storm conditions, including damaging winds of 39mph or more, are expected within 24 hours in Guam.
Packing maximum sustained winds at 30mph, Tropical Depression 10W was moving northwest at 10mph.
As of 4pm yesterday, the center of Tropical Depression 10W was 240 miles southeast of Guam, 255 miles southeast of Rota, 295 miles south-southeast of Tinian, and 300 miles south-southeast of Saipan.
The tropical depression caused rains in the CNMI yesterday morning and late afternoon.
NWS advised the public of precautionary measures to prepare for increasing winds by securing loose outdoor items and canopies.
NWS urged mariners to make all necessary preparations to return to port, seek safe harbor, and secure their craft.
