OIA awards GovGuam $2.4M in federal grant assistance

HAGÅTÑA, Guam—Delegate Madeleine Z. Bordallo announced that the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Office of Insular Affairs has awarded the Government of Guam $2,454,397 in federal grant assistance.

OIA awarded $2,126,005 through the Technical Assistance Program for the following projects:

• $498,225 for the GCA Trades Academy Education Assistance project;

• $498,272 for the Guam Community College Tourism Programs Assistance project;

• $494,657 for the Bureau of Statistics and Plans Household Income and Expenditure Survey;

• $107,112 for the Guam Public Health and Social Services Building and Sustaining the Capacity of Guam Environment Public Health Laboratory project;

• $28,415 for the Guam Police Department K9 Specialized Vehicle Equipment Requisition project;

• $249,010 for the Office of Technology Network Monitoring Tools project; and

• $250,314 for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guam Micronesian Resource One Stop Shop.

Additionally, OIA awarded $328,392 through the Maintenance Assistance Program for the following projects:

• $154,950 for the Guam Waterworks Authority Operations and Maintenance Training project; and

• $173,442 for the Guam Department of Education Ten-Year Capital Facilities Master Plan update.
