Saolak Camacho rules Monday Night League

Saolak Camacho nosed out the Pin Busters for the top honors in the 27th Philippine Bowling Association-Budweiser Monday Night League.

Saolak Camacho completed the 16-week competition with a 43-21 record to lead the eight-team field. Pin Busters finished second with its 42-22 mark, while Team Unity (38.5-25.5) and Saipan Bowling Center (36.5-25.7) rounded out the Top 4 teams that were recognized during the award ceremony early this month at SBC.

Janice, Diony, Diana, Julian, and Joyce Camacho are the members of the champion team, which collected 36,596 pins and had an average of 621 with a handicap of 147. Saolak recorded a 713 (high game), 888 (handicap game) and 1,921 and 2,434 high game series and handicap, respectively.

Other teams that joined the weekly tournament were J’s Restaurant (30-34), IT&E Unlimited (30-34), Ollek Turkey (25-39), and Motion 2 Strike (10-54).

SBC won the team scratch game and series after posting 823 and 2,243 and edging IT&E Unlimited (809 and 2,165). The Pin Busters were ranked third in both categories after logging 776 and 2,137.

IT&E then prevailed in the handicap game with its 911, beating Ollek Turkey (909), SBC (900), and J’s Restaurant (900). In the handicap series, J’s Restaurant stood tall with its 2,585 defeating the 2,491 and 2,487 of Pin Busters and Ollek Turkey, respectively.
