19th Annual Sophia Walk tomorrow
Are you ready?
Tomorrow, June 23, marks the 19th Annual Sophia Walk starting at Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan’s beachfront. There will be raffles, crazy hat contest, refreshments and all participants receive a commemorative T-shirt.
All proceeds go to the CHCC Volunteers Association, which was first established in 1984.
Former first lady Sophia Tenorio, for whom the walk is named after, will be present at the event and will also be one of the judges for the Crazy Hat Contest.
Registration is ongoing until today at the Fiesta Resort & Spa, Kanoa Resort, Century Hotel, iSHOP. Registrations can also be picked up at CHCC gift shop. Checks can be payable to CHCC Volunteers Association.
Early registration is $10 per person (ages 4 and over) on or before June 22 and increases to $15 per person on event day.
The first 500 participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt, courtesy of the Tan Siu Lin Foundation.
Registration and T-shirt distribution on June 23 opens at 6:30am with the walk starting at 7am at Fiesta Resort beach. Participants will walk/run toward Micro Beach, through Smiling Cove parking lot and up to the top of the Eloy S. Inos Peace Park and back.
