Talavera, Camacho lead individual awardees in Tuesday Night League

Veteran Robert Talavera and Maridel Camacho stood out in the Tuesday Night Bowling League after winning the most individual awards in their respective divisions.
Talavera topped the men’s high scratch game with his 247 pins and also had the best score in the high scratch series with 636. The Natibu bowler, who helped his team rule the eight-squad tournament, defeated Jon Hensley on both occasions, as the former recorded 236 and 589 in the scratch game and scratch series, respectively.
With his pair of wins, Talavera ended up with the highest average in the men’s field after posting 181.76. Diana Camacho took the same award in the women’s field after recording 168.46, while Maridel Camacho prevailed in the high scratch game (254) and series (628). Connie Lizama was the runner-up in the high scratch game with her 213, while Janice Camacho was ranked second in the series after logging 582.
In the handicap, Julian Camacho and Raymond Villegas split the top honors. Julian had 281 in the high handicap game to beat BoySabate (270), while Villegas’ 729 in the series edged the 728 of Al Ken.
Maridel Camacho swept the high handicap game and series after tallying 290 and 739 and defeating Connie Lizama (257) and Karen Cornelio (678). With her domination, Camacho was named the Most Improved Player in the women’s division, while Joe Digno earned the same award in the men’s category.
Meanwhile, Natibu won three of the four awards in the team event: high scratch (988) and series (2,666) and high handicap game (1,121). Super Tech, Inc. foiled Natibu’s bid for a sweep after posting 3,132 in the high handical series.
