A Michelin-starred chef, together with three other chefs from Sichuan Chendu, China, are joining forces to serve authentic Chinese dishes at the newest food enclave on Saipan, called Yofun.

The newest restaurant in town, located right across the Hyatt Regency Saipan in Garapan, is inviting friends and family to check out the place, which is open from Monday to Sunday, from 4pm to 4am.

Owned by a Hong Kong-based company, Yofun opened only in April. The name itself is actually a combination of terms. In Chinese, “yo” means friends and “fun” means a place where people can get together to share food. Therefore Yofun.

Their specialties include the spicy hot pot, Chinese sweet and sour chicken, scrumptious beef, chicken, and lamb barbecue, chicken wings topped with special herbs and spices, to name a few.

Customers can personalize their spicy hot pot. They can choose from a wide array of meat, seafood, vegetables and choose how much spice will be used on the dish. Although, dishes carry the Sichuan taste and flavor, the food is expected to entice the appetites of people, no matter where they are from.

Yofun also serves non-spicy food. All dishes can be paired with traditional sweet tea and sweet white/snow fungus with goji berry soup to complement the flavors of the food. For beer lovers, buy one Asahi beer or Saipan Brewing beer and you get one specialty Japanese beer for free that can be matched with their appetizers such as fresh edamame, cold beef dim sum, and boiled peanuts.

Although Yofun serves traditional Chinese dishes, the restaurant itself boasts of its modern, clean, and straightforward appeal.

Yofun can accommodate 50 customers at one time. For private functions like meetings and parties, they have a room available that can seat 10 persons.

Football fans are invited to watch a live feed of the 2018 World Cup from 9pm to 4am on their widescreen televisions. Pair it with one beer and free appetizers.

Yofun membership cards are available to loyal customers, where they can avail of 5 to 26 percent discount every time they eat.

For the budget conscious, fill your tummy with their $1 mouthwatering and nutritious potato porridge, which is available anytime.

Yofun accepts walk-ins and reservations. Please call (670) 286-3333 or go to : https://www.facebook.com/yofuncnmi/ for more information.
