AT NMC’S CASH FOR COLLEGE
CNMI Scholarship, SHEFA reps
Representatives of the CNMI Scholarship and the Saipan Higher Education Financial Aid program will be at Northern Marianas College’s Cash for College event this Saturday to provide assistance and to also receive applications for their respective aid programs.
The Cash for College workshop, which will be held on Saturday at the NMC As Terlaje campus from 9am to 12pm, aims to provide personal, step-by-step assistance in completing college financial aid forms, focusing especially on forms for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, SHEFA, CNMI Scholarship, the TEACH grant and more.
Individuals who participate will also have their NMC fall admission application fee and placement test fees waived—a savings of up to $75.
Although not required, it is recommended that workshop participants bring a valid form of identification (e.g., a valid U.S. passport, copy of valid application for a U.S. passport, birth certificate, or green card), an official transcript from high school (at least three official copies), copy of 2016 and 2017 1040, copy of 2016 and 2017 W-2 (if not filing), and proof of CNMI residency, including proof of continuing residency. Applicants for SHEFA should bring a valid U.S. passport or a voter registration card.
