AMP to host junior ranger camp

This summer, American Memorial Park and its partner, Pacific Historic Parks, will host the Junior Ranger Camp summer program. The three-day camp is open to students in the 6th to 8th grades and provides opportunities for youth to explore the great outdoors while learning about the park, Saipan history, and other significant World War II sites on island.

This year, the park will host four free Junior Ranger Camp sessions as scheduled below:

• Session 1: American Memorial Park; June 26-28/8am to 2pm

• Session 2: San Antonio Youth Center; July 10-12/ 7:30am to 2:30pm

• Session 3: Tanapag Youth Center; July 17-19/7:30am to 2:30pm

• Session 4: Chacha Oceanview Middle School; July 24-26/7:30am to 2:30pm

Youths participating in Session 1 on June 26-28, 2018, must have transportation to and from American Memorial Park in Garapan.

For Sessions 2, 3, and 4 the park will provide transportation to and from three meeting points: San Antonio Youth Center, Tanapag Youth Center, and Chacha Oceanview Junior High School.

Youth will be enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited, so register soon! Registration forms are available at American Memorial Park, Chacha Oceanview Middle School, Hopwood, Francisco Mendiola Sablan, Tanapag, and Dandan middle schools.
