This Sunday’s “Your Humanities Half-Hour” radio program will feature Genzo Matua Suzuki Gonzales, one of the Marianas’ delegates to the 2018 Heirs to Our Ocean Summit for Empowerment, Action, and Leadership, and his father, John Gonzales, treasurer for partner organization Chamolinian Cultural Village, Inc.
Gonzales will share the goals of Heirs to Our Ocean and the first ever Northern Marianas International March for the Oceans scheduled for June 9, 2018, from 7am to 9am.
In addition, the original rap “Save the Coral Reefs” of 2017 delegate Yarawe Ythemar will be shared. The rap is the soundtrack for a short documentary of the same name that won second place in last year’s International Ocean Film Festival.
“Your Humanities Half-Hour” radio program, which airs each Sunday from 2pm to 2:30pm on Power 99, is hosted by Catherine R. Perry. (PR)
