Learning does not end in every graduation ceremony.
This was Dr. Jessica B. Taylor’s message to the graduating class of the Northern Marianas International School last Saturday.
“Learning does not end today. It does not end when you graduate high school or college. In college, you will be on your own and will be making your own decisions in navigating through the daily activities of your life. You just don’t know what life will give you,” Taylor said in her speech as keynote speaker of NMIS’ 5th Commencement Exercises at the Hibiscus Hall of the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan.
Taylor said graduations could be nostalgic for some and exciting for others but it also a time of celebration. “It is a time for celebration and contemplation on the milestones in your life. It is the time to recognize your achievements and accomplishments. Learning is all about life and life is all about learning,” she said.
