Free health screening on Sunday
To increase awareness about maintaining good health and to promote education on disease prevention, there will be a free health screening on Sunday, May 20, at thr San Antonio Parish Social Hall in San Antonio.
The health screening is being organized by the U.S. Pinoys for Good Governance Marianas chapter, National Youth Movement for the West Philippine Sea Marianas chapter, Bayan Bago Sarili (BAYANi), National Federation of Filipino American Associations, and Asian Community of the CNMI.
It will be spearheaded by sponsored by Dr. Celia Lamkin and Ronald Lamkin.
Registration starts at 7:30am.
There will be free blood pressure measurements, blood sugar tests, weight and height determination, and body mass index measurements.
People who would like to avail of the blood sugar level tests are advised to fast—refrain from eating and drinking liquids preferably 12 hours or two hours prior to the actual testing.
Knowing where your health stands help you start realistic personal health goals for the rest of this year and thereafter. Free health screening events help members of our community take charge of their health, said Lamkin.
Information on disease prevention such as hypertension, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, obesity, diabetes, among others, will be distributed at the health screening site.
The public is invited regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, nationality, status, and citizenship. (PR)
