Kanoa Football Club-2’s Therize Millare tries to keep control of the ball during their first round game against TanHoldings FC in the Division A of the 2018 Dove Spring Women’s League at the TSL Sports Complex’s artificial turf.

Kansa Football Club teams triumphed in Division A games in the 2018 Dove Spring Women’s League, while TanHoldings clobbered Shirley’s in a make-up match in Division B last week.

Kanoa-2 recorded the first win for the club last Thursday at the TSL Sports Complex’s artificial turf after dominating TanHoldings in the curtain-raiser, 5-1, while Kanoa-1 nosed out Paire in the second match, 6-5.

Shairmaine Francisco delivered the winning goal for Kanoa-1, as she scored in the 39th minute or two minutes after Gillian Villagomez equalized for Paire. Francisco posted a hat trick against Paire, as she also found the back of the net in the seventh and 26th minute. Paulynn Joyce duplicated Francisco’s feat after hitting her target in the third, 11th, and 36th minute.

Jerlyn Castillo also nailed three goals for Paire after lighting up the board in the first, fourth, and 10th minute, while Britanny Wally registered the other goal for the losing squad in the fifth.

With the close win, Kanoa-1 stays on top of the five-team field with its unbeaten 6-1-0 record, while Paire is still in second place after dropping to a 4-0-3 mark.

Kanoa-2 (3-1-2) is ranked third following its easy victory over TanHoldings (1-0-5).

Jeralyn Castillo and Therize Millare earned two goals each for Kanoa-2, while Sue Ann Huevos made one. Jenny Ann Capayas handed TanHoldings its lone goal in last week’s match.

Meanwhile, in a make-up game at the Francisco M. Sablan Middle School Field last Saturday, TanHoldings shut down Shirley’s, 5-0.

Kaithlyn Chavez and Stephanie Flores drilled two goals apiece for TanHoldings, while Alyssa Mae Angeles contributed one. TanHoldings notched only its second victory in five games, while Shirley’s has yet to enter the win column in Division B after five matches.
