The Marianas Visitors Authority was in Guam this month for in-person marketing targeting military personnel, their families, and the public.
The 15th Annual Joint Military Travel Fairs were conducted and organized by the Morale Welfare and Recreation unit on Guam’s two military bases. The first travel fair was held on May 2, 2018, at Andersen Air Force Base. The second fair was held on May 3, 2018, at the Top o’ the Mar on Nimitz Hill, Guam. Over 760 military personnel and their dependents attended.
“The Marianas was very well represented as a premier family destination only 45 minutes away from Guam. Our information on diving, casino gambling, resorts, World War II, and culture was well-received by the participants,” said MVA marketing manager Broc Calvo. “We are also working on new marketing efforts to improve the Guam military market for the Marianas.”
In partnership this year with PDI and Islander Rent-a-Car, the MVA operated a promotional booth and distributed information about Saipan, Tinian, and Rota at both events. (MVA)
