Stalemate in Division B of Dove women’s league

Two matches in the Division B of the 2018 Dove Spring Women’s League ended in draws, leaving the leading MP United Football Club-1 the only team to win in last weekend’s triple-header.
TanHoldings and MY Pros set the tone for the weekend when they engaged in a draw, 3-3, in the curtain-raiser at the Chacha Oceanview Middle School Field. Andrei Kaithlyn Chavez scored a pair of goals for TanHoldings, while Stephanie Flores added one. Manami Manglona duplicated Chavez’s feat for MY Pros, while Mel Borja tallied the other goal for the squad.
In the second game at the Chacha pitch, MP United-2 and Shirley’s FC played to a scoreless draw. Over at the Francisco M. Sablan Middle School Field last Saturday, MP United-1 shut down MP United-2 in a make-up match, 3-0.
Julie Hall scored two goals for MP United-1, while Andrea Ranjo chipped in one.
MP United-1 now has a 4-1-1 win-draw-loss record to lead MY Pros (3-1-1), Paire (2-1-2), MP United-2 (1-2-3), TanHoldings (1-1-2), and Shirley’s (0-2-2).
In Division A, Kanoa-1 is still on top following a 5-2 triumph over Shirley’s last week at the TSL Sports Complex’s artificial turf.
Kanoa-1, which improved to a 5-1-0 mark, drew four goals from Paulynn Joyce and one from Sharmaine Francisco. Katrina Costales delivered the brace for Shirley’s, which is ranked No. 4 after posting a 1-0-5 record. Paire (4-0-2), Kanoa-2 (2-1-2), and TanHoldings (1-0-4) complete the team standings.
Paire notched its fourth win after blanking TanHoldings in the other game in the division last week, 11-0. Guine Borja lifted Paire to the lopsided victory after registering five goals, while Jerlyn Castrillo contributed three, and Gillian Villagomez and Anela Duenas chipped in two and one, respectively.
Meanwhile, in the Masters division, Matansa prevailed against Topnotch, while the latter drew TanHoldings.
