Tourism Month Instagram contest launched
In celebration of May Tourism Month, the Marianas Visitors Authority is inviting residents of the Marianas to show how much they love the islands by posting their favorite photos on Instagram.
“We live in one of the most beautiful places on earth, and Instagram is a tremendous way to show off our home to the world,” said MVA Community Projects assistant and Tourism Month lead coordinator Demalynn Pagarao. “For all those on Instagram, we hope you will join us in promoting the Marianas by tagging your photos in May and every month of the year!”
The 2018 Tourism Month Instagram Contest is open to residents of the Marianas ages 13 and older. To enter, the contestant must: 1) follow the MVA’s official Instagram account @themarianas, 2) post a photo on Instagram showing their representation of “My Marianas”; 3) include all three hashtags: #mymarianas, #themarianas and #tourismmonth2018; 4) tag the MVA @themarianas in the post; and 5) set their profile to public.
One prize will be awarded each week to one participant for the post that meets all the requirements stated above, including the required hashtags, and that receives the most “likes” on Instagram for that week. The contest ends on May 31, 2018.
