Imperial Pacific International (CNMI), LLC’s Earn & Learn Program has produced its third batch of graduates, and were immediately offered full-time employment within the Hotel Operations and Food and Beverage departments of the largest private sector employer in the region.

The Earn & Learn Program was launched in 2017 and is a joint partnership between Imperial Pacific International (CNMI), LLC and the local educational institutions on Saipan. Through this program, Imperial Pacific continues its commitment towards growing and strengthening the local workforce, and providing them with the necessary on-the-job training and practical work experience.

Four local residents have successfully found employment within IPI through their participation of the company’s Earn and Learn Program.

The successful newly hired graduates are from the Northern Marianas Trades Institute. They completed their 240-hour paid internship program with Imperial Pacific.

By participating in IPI’s Earn & Learn Program, these interns were able to experience the many different facets of running a successful casino resort.

Sindaleen Shineachi, who was a Food & Beverage intern, shared her experience by noting that it was so much more than what she had expected it to be. She remains excited to learn new things and to grow her career within the hospitality industry.

She learned to appreciate the challenges that come with her internship program, particularly interacting with guests. She said it allowed her to get out of her comfort zone.

“After I completed this internship, I’ve gained so much product knowledge that I am now confident in speaking and interacting with guests. I was also trained in the areas of food safety handling and cleanliness. Thank you IPI for the opportunity to learn and develop my career in this industry,” Shineachi said.

Another hotel operation intern, Marie Rabauliman, acknowledged how Imperial Pacific’s internship program allowed her to learn how to operate so many different types of hotel equipment and the proper use of personal protective equipment. She also said that she never knew how to operate an industrial vacuum before.

“I would like to thank everyone at IPI for giving me a chance to complete my internship hours here! It has been a great learning experience for me,” Rabauliman said in appreciation.

Imperial Pacific International’s Learning & Development Department is very proud of its graduates who recently completed the third batch of the Earn & Learn internship program. IPI will always remain committed in paving the way for local career development. (PR)
