Mazda MX-5 Miata up for grabs at Chamber golf tourney

The 2018 Saipan Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament is sure to be the best one yet with Triple J Motors offering a brand new car as a hole-in-one prize for the April 14 event that will take place at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
“Triple J Motors is gladly putting up for grabs to the first golfer to hit a hole-in-one at our designated Hole No. 3, the latest version of the Mazda MX-5 Miata convertible roadster, which we proudly offer for sale now. This is the 4th generation of MX-5, and it was unveiled in the U.S. in 2014. This vehicle has a proud history of global awards and recognitions. In 2000, the MX-5 was recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s best-selling convertible two-seater sports car. The current generation of MX-5 was named the World Car of the Year at the 2016 World Car Awards in the U.K., as well as Cars.com’s ‘Play Car of the Year’ in 2017. The MX-5 was also a finalist for 2016’s North American Car of the Year award. The total value is $33,995,” Triple J Motors general manager Randy Steele said.

Meanwhile, besides the hole-in-one prize from Triple J Motors, the Chamber tournament will also award $800, $500, and $300 to the first to third place finishers in each of the two categories to be played in this weekend’s competition: team gross and team double peoria. There will be cash prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive, and accurate drive contests, too.
In addition to these prizes, golfers will enjoy complimentary swag bags full of donations from Chamber members. On-course snacks and refreshments will be provided throughout the day of play.
Showtime is at 6am with a shotgun start at 7am. The format is a two-person scramble and registration fee is $130/per person. Chamber members will enjoy a discounted fee of $120. A banquet and raffle will immediately follow after the tournament. Fabulous raffle prizes have been donated, and tickets will be available for purchase during the awards banquet.
