National Library Week to be proclaimed today

Today marks the start of National Library Week and National Bookmobile Day for the CNMI. For the entirety of the week, the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library will provide children and their families with a bunch of educational activities to do together.

JKPL has prepared a proclamation ceremony to kick off the start of Library Week today. Gov. Ralph DLG Torres is expected to attend the ceremony and sign the proclamation officiating Library Week.

During the ceremony, JKPL will also unveil the design of the new state library card and will also have a memorial service dedicated to JKPL staff Roy Diaz Rechebei. The ceremony will start at 10am and will be held at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library.

On Saturday, April 7, the community is invited to join JKPL in the annual Mobile Information Literacy Fair from 10am to 12:30pm. The event will also be held at the Joeten- Kiyu Public Library grounds.
