Bordallo visits Guam cadets at USAF academy
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Delegate Madeleine Z. Bordallo (D-GU) recently visited Guam cadets studying at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Nine cadets from Guam—Jonathan Toves, Scott Min, Jonah Whitt, Rosalyn Mikel, Xavier Kirksey, Mia Chabanne, Dustin Daleno, Bryan Agustin, and Chloe Gadsden—are attending the Air Force Academy in preparation for their service in the U.S. Air Force. Each year, Bordallo nominates individuals from Guam to attend each of the U.S. Service Academies.
“I am very proud of our cadets from Guam studying at the U.S. Air Force Academy. They are representing Guam well and are working hard to be future Air Force leaders. I enjoyed joining our cadets for lunch and learning of their future goals when they are commissioned as Air Force officers. I thanked them for their dedication to serve our nation and look forward to seeing their successes in the future.
“I also appreciated meeting with the Air Force Academy’s superintendent, Lt. Gen. Jay Silveria, commandant of cadets Brig. Gen. Kristin Goodwin, and other senior leaders to get a firsthand account of the academy’s operations.
