‘YOUR HUMANITIES HALF-HOUR’

This Sunday’s “Your Humanities Half-Hour” will feature several individuals who hold traditional knowledge about how the lunar calendar is utilized in Chamorro and Carolinian cultures for farming, fishing, navigation and sailing, and other purposes.

Guests are Jack Ogumoro, onsite coordinator for Western Pacific Regional Fishery Management Council; Cecilio Raiukiulipiy, a traditional navigator and member of the advisory panel of the Refaluwasch Lunar Calendar Committee; Isidoru Cabrera; and Stanley Taisacan, chairman of the advisory panel of the Chamorro lunar Calendar Committee.
