Four Green Meadow School Middle School Falcons made it to the top five at the regional event of the National Speech and Debate Association and six reached the finals on different categories after a week of competition held at Hopwood Middle School and Mount Carmel School last week.

Christian Ted Pamintuan won first place in original oratory, which qualifies him to participate in the national tournament in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, together with the other champions from other schools in the CNMI. He also placed fourth in declamation.

Ariel Legaspi placed fourth in dramatic interpretation and fifth place in duo interpretation. Areeza Gaile Anda won fifth in humorous interpretation. Sabino Cabrera finished fifth in duo interpretation.

Two GMS Falcons made it to the final rounds of the competition: Arnel Josh Coloma in the storytelling category and Elijah Umali in the declamation category.

These students strove hard and gave their best to achieve these awards, thanks to the guidance and patient coaching of Virgie Ogerio and Lorelisa Espiritu. (PR)
