“The Magic of Theater”

Share

Gregorio Camacho Elementary and Tanapag Middle School students were starring for the first time in a Creative Theater Program introduced by Ms. Ekaterina Megino, an artistic director from Las Vegas. The Premier was held at Aqua Resort Club, Saipan, on December 26th.

Theatrical action transferred its audiences into the two most loved classical pieces, “The Nutcracker” and “Romeo & Juliet”. The shows were enhanced with music of Peter Tchaikovsky, Johann Bach, Henrik Ibsen, Léo Delibes, Maurice Ravel and others, including special effects and surprising twists in interpretation.

Little stars from GTC wowed the audience with multitasking performance, which involved elements of musical acting, declamation, dancing, acrobatics, dual role appearances and quick act changes.

TANMS performers likewise were pleasing its spectators by artfully moving from drama to comedy, from Shakespearean heroes to fictional out of space characters added as the connectors of times.

Special thanks to everyone who helped and contributed to making this performance a fabulous success!

Next project of the program this year is the revival of the “Marianas Legends”.
