2 allegedly raped a 52-year-old woman
Two men were arrested on Monday for allegedly raping a 52-year-old woman at a house on Saipan.
Jaime Always, 46, and Weiner Sony, 28, were arrested for sexual assault in the first degree.
Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho imposed yesterday a $30,000 cash bail each on Always and Sony.
Preliminary hearing will be on Feb. 12 at 1:30pm.
According to police detective Buddy S. Igitol, police officers responded to a house on Sunday afternoon to investigate a reported sexual assault incident.
Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a woman, who stated that two men known to her raped her.
The woman identified Always and Sony, who were found by the officers still sleeping inside the house where the rape allegedly happened.
The woman said after the rape, she made an excuse to leave the premises and used the phone from a nearby restaurant to call the police.
Officers interviewed the restaurant’s employee, who stated that the woman came in and asked to use the phone to report a crime.
The employee stated that the woman looked scared and was shaking.
Igitol said Always and Sony were interviewed and admitted having sex with the woman, but that it was consensual. (Ferdie de la Torre)
