Constante Bautista

A Filipino man named Constante Bautista has been reported missing since Tuesday afternoon, making this the first missing person case this year.

Department of Public Safety spokesperson Jackie Rae described Bautista as 46, a Filipino national, about 5’9” tall, and weighs 220 lbs. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, a pair of blue shorts, and a pair of running shoes.

Bautista was last seen at 4pm, on Tuesday, Jan. 2, at his apartment in Garapan.

If you have any information about Bautista’s whereabouts, contact DPS at 664-9000 or 664-9001.

There has been a rash of persons being reported missing in the last three months but most of them later turn up. The last report of a person who remains missing is assistant public defender Jamal A. Saleh, who has been reported missing since Oct. 3, 2017.

Since 1995, at least 17 persons have been reported missing in the CNMI, yet those cases remain unresolved. There could be more; the 17 are the only ones that could be gleaned from the Saipan Tribune archives.
