The Tinian Youth Athletes Club is inviting all parents with children ages 3 to 12 years old to its second annual Toys For Tots event at the Antonio M. Borja Amphitheater from 6pm to 9pm tonight, Dec. 22, 2017. The event will take place concurrently with the Tinian Mayor’s Office’s annual Christmas Parade and Winter Wonderland celebration.

This year, TYAC is pleased to announce that they will be giving over 900 toys to Tinian’s young children, especially those with financial and/or physical needs. TYAC will also be handing out towels to Tinian’s man’amko, and delivering toys to the children of the Tinian Liaison Office’s patients and staff.

TYAC president Connie V. San Nicolas, along with her fellow officers, extend their sincerest gratitude to the following partners for their generous donations this holiday season: Mayor of Tinian Joey Patrick San Nicolas, Star Marianas Air, Mrs. Nicole Su, Marine Corps Activity Guam, Tinian Youth Center, and Alter City Group.

The Tinian Youth Athletes Club is a non-profit organization that was incorporated in October of 2015. The group has adopted the mission of promoting the general welfare and morale of Tinian youth through event participation, programs and tutoring structured toward Tinian youth; and developing self-confidence through leadership skill games and activities. TYAC’s officers are Connie V. San Nicolas, president; Jovita Paulino, vice president; Evitalynn Manglona, secretary; and Charlene M. Lizama, treasurer.

Since its incorporation TYAC has been involved in various community events and fundraisers, including the Empty Vessel Foundation Community Outreach, donating to the Tinian Jr./Sr. High School’s Boys’ Basketball Team’s participation in the Guam Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament, and of course, Toys 4 Tots.
