11th Asian Supermodel Contest: A bevy of top models on Saipan

This Saturday the fiercest of all international model searches—the Asian Supermodel Contest—will be held on Saipan.
Twenty-seven stunning and statuesque supermodels representing 14 countries will compete for the most coveted title in international modeling competitions, which has produced some of today’s top image, print, fashion, runway, and commercial models.
The 11th Asian Supermodel Contest is hosted by Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC. Marianas Visitors Authority and telecom giant, IT&E, are the major sponsors.
With the staging of the 11th edition of the Asian Model Contest, this will further catapult Saipan into the international stage. The island is increasingly becoming a popular location for international events.
Upon the invitation of Imperial Pacific International, the organizers have found Saipan to have just everything they need for the international modeling competition. From its charming climate to its captivating and beautiful natural beauty, the organizers said Saipan is a perfect location for the international competition. One of the highlights of the international competition are its outdoor activities and photo shoots.
This is the first time that an international modeling competition will be held on Saipan.
Competition details
Leading to the finals night, series of activities have already been held.
Tonight (Friday) at 10pm the preliminary competition—Asia Supermodel Dress Show—will be held at the Imperial Palace.
The finals will be on Saturday at 7:30pm at the grand lobby of Imperial Palace. Following the competition and the crowning of the winners will be the cocktail party/reception.
There are 27 models-contestants who will strut it out for the crown on Saturday evening. They are representing China, Japan, Korea, America, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, India, Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia.
During the finals night, all of the 27 models-contestant will compete in four segments/categories: 1) Opening show; 2) “Hosa” swimsuit show; 3) National Dress show, and 4) NE-TIGER high level appointed dress show.
Hosa Brand is China’s top swimwear brand.
NE-TIGER is China’s top fashion and luxury brand.
Judges will crown among the 27 models-contests the Asia Supermodel 2017 champion, first runner-up, second runner-up, the Best Ten Asian Supermodel, Best T-stage Performance Award, Best Body Award, Best Photogenic Award, Most Potential Award, and the International Friendship Award.
Established in 2006, the Asian Supermodel Search has produced some of the recognizable models that have walked the world’s famous runways and graced major print covers.
It was created with purpose of discovering and producing supermodels from the Asia-Pacific region. (PR)
