GGAP concert raises $10K for MSF, animals advocacy group

A G*GAP concert last Nov. 10 and 11 at the Country House Restaurant in Garapan generated over $10,000 that will benefit the organization Medecins Sans Frontiers (Doctors Without Borders) and the Saipan Cares for Animals.
The restaurant’s annual charity concert earned $10,551 this year and the amount would be divided between the two.
According to Nippon General Trading Corp. general manager Katsuko Kato, the event was first started to help victims of the Japan tsunami over three years ago; it has since become on of their staple events. Nippon General Trading Corp. operates the Country House Restaurant.
This year’s event generated the participation of about 100 individuals from Japan, sponsors, and residents during the two-night concert. Many guests were touched by Country House’s initiative to continue the concert fundraiser and a few of the guests were appreciative of the live entertainment and great food.
G*GAP is a popular Japanese group.
“The fundraising event was a success and we thank our friends for their support, Triple J Saipan, Pacific Trading Co., and Country House Japan,” said Kato.
