The Education Committee of the Saipan Chamber of Commerce, in coordination with private companies, will be hosting the “2017 Career Exploration Day” on Dec. 6, a Wednesday. High school juniors and seniors have been invited to register for this event.
Registered students will choose a field of business they are hoping to learn more about and will be paired with a participating Chamber business. This is a unique opportunity that will give students a hands-on experience in the workplace with a chance to “shadow” a private-sector business leader for a half-day. The Chamber hopes that this experience will help students decide which field of work or study they would like to pursue in the future.
Students will be recognized at the Saipan World Resort’s Royal Taga Hall during the Chamber’s meeting at 12pm of Dec. 6.
Interested students will need the following: student application, high school permission form, and student/parental consent form. Hard copies can be picked up from the Chamber office on the third floor of the Marianas Business Plaza, Suite 315 or downloaded from the Chamber website: www.saipanchamber.com. Forms may be submitted via email or to Chamber office. Forms are due by Friday, Nov. 17, at 5pm. For more information, call (670) 234-7150 or email administrator@saipanchamber.com. (PR)
